Speaking has to be one of the best marketing tools for your business

I am really lucky, my networking doesn’t financially cost me that much to do when I am being asked to speak at an event, about the benefits of public speaking and how to get past the nerves and anxiety it can cause. My networking is FREE, well, that’s not entirely true, I am a paid-up member of a couple of networking organisations which I attend on a regular basis, but I have to tell you, one of the perks of being able to deliver a talk is that you get invited to networking events you otherwise may never attend.

When you network, trying to connect with those people who may need what you have to offer can be like looking for a needle in a hay stack, it’s chance, it’s luck and time consuming too. The wonderful thing that happens when you are the speaker at a network meeting is that people know straight away whether they are in need of your service/products and they gravitate towards you. YOU become magnetic. Of course in order to achieve this you require to have skill as a speaker, confidence, presence, volume, and the ability to  deliver some worthwhile content that is of value to the audience.

Public speakingSpeaking has to be one of the best marketing tools for your business and being able to speak  is something all entrepreneurs, CEO’s, Directors and  Managers, need to do well in order to grow their business  Do I hear you saying, “Not me, I never speak on stage”?  Now, think again! You use speaking skills in your everyday business communications and the better you are at it, the more successful you will be in business.

You might be saying to yourself that you don’t need it, even though you know it’s great for business. You might be avoiding it because it’s high on the list of things that you fear the most. If that is the case public speaking can be very stressful for you. You are not alone, 75% of people suffer from speaking anxiety. Let’s face it, whether you are speaking to just one person or to thousands, this is a great opportunity and is key for you to growing your business.

It’s important to share your ideas with clarity and feeling, which ultimately will be more engaging to those listening to you. As you develop your speaking skills, you will naturally become more confident and you will feel more comfortable talking about your company.
